Removing Malware

STEP 1

Download Removal Tool (for Mac  OS X 10.8 or higher

Go to Malwarebytes

1. Make sure Mac is selected
2. Click on DOWNLOAD (If offered Pay version click on free version)

STEP 2

Install the Tool

1. Locate the downloaded file “MBAM-Mac.dmg” (usually in Downloads folder)
2. You can locate it easily by clicking on the downloads button in the right of the top of your browser window (in Safari)
3. Double click on file name

STEP 3

Move Program to your Applications

1. Drag the application into the applications folder in the window that opens

STEP 4

Open the Application

1. Locate the application “Malwarebytes Anti Malware” in your applications folder and double click to run
2. Agree to license disclosure info

STEP 5

Run the Malware Scan

1. Click on Scan button
2. If Malware is found it will give you the option to remove it – that’s it!
